EQ#901 is the daughter of our popular boy Dale and lovelly girl Gattie. Even though she was born in captivity, EQ#901 represents some very important genetics for the Tasmanian Quoll Conservation Program as both of her parents are of wild origin. Gattie was born in the wild around the Cradle Mountain area and brought in specifically for genetic purposes. Dale was an orphan found out at Scottsdale and hand-reared here at Devils@Cradle. The combination of these two genes has made her a very popular girl for this year breeding season.
She has just experienced her first breeding season and has been paired with EQ#893 (another male of wild-born origin). It’s too early for confirmation yet, but things are looking promising and there’s a high chance she will be one of this year’s mums.
EQ#901 is a bit more shy and reserved, but doesn’t mind hanging out in the distance observing the comings and goings.
