Bio:
Manina (meaning “earth” in palawa kani, the language of Tasmanian Aborigines) very much lives up to his name – he is a very grounded devil. As a young joey he was one of the shyest in the litter, mostly only coming out at night once all the people had gone home, but he eventually started coming out of his shell and is now a quiet but confident and respectful young man. At only two years old, keepers have decided he is confident enough to be given the chance of breeding with some lucky ladies, so we’ll have to see how this season goes. He will certainly be a contender for next breeding season.
